Looking for a fun game that also challenges your mind? Try Starberry’s iPhone app, Dingbats. With no relation to the font, this game app actually is a collection of puzzles that involve words and pictures. You are presented with a screen of twelve cards: tap one to flip it over and reveal the words or pictures. Using what’s displayed, you have to figure out a common phrase…clues as to what the phrase is are in the size, position, or direction of whatever is on the card; even better, it’s timed. This means the faster you can figure out the phrase (and the faster you type), the more points you’ll get (go through the tutorial for a sample of what to expect). When you solve the twelve cards, you get to move on to the next level. You have chances to pass or skip a card, but you need a certain amount of points in order to do so.
Dingbats is perfect for those who love logic puzzles or are wordsmiths. The app is very well-designed with smooth physics and nicely contrasting colors. The only real downside is that you can’t access hints on the app; you have to either have them emailed to you or go to the website. Other than that, this app is well worth the price tag, so go give your brain a workout.

I love this game, I used to play this very addictive board game back in the early 90’s with my family, iT was called Whatzit but the log looks the same type and all the puzzles are the same. I looked on on their website and in england it was called Dingbats and here it was called whatzit.
anyway, I think it works better on the iPhone than it did as cards, as I did not like the board bit of the game just the cards.
I really liked that when i needed real help I could ask the dingking for it by email, and I got a personal email back with a good hint!
well worth buying this game I think, i have had hours on it so far.
