Trinity Media Group brings the classic strategy game of marble solitaire to the iPhone with Kawi (Sanskrit for ‘marble’). If you’ve never played before, the objective is simple, to remove as many marbles from the board as you can, ideally with just one marble in the center slot. You remove marbles from the gameboard by jumping over them with another marble. Kawi has a point system, with scarab bug multipliers giving you a chance for more points. Kawi also has an online function from AGON Online, which allows you to send your scores and see if they place on global, friends and location-based leaderboards. AGON also has Facebook and Twitter integration, if you are so inclined.
The music and graphics are sharp, clean and Indian in theme, pleasant to both ears and eyes. You do have the option of turning off the music (touch the purple pot) and the sound effects (touch the green pot) but no option to play your own yet.
Kawi is stimulating but easy to play, good for people of any age. It may be simple but its replay value is high. If you like simple, relaxing one-player puzzle/strategy games, definitely give Kawi a look. Kawi is currently in the App Store for $0.99. Check out the Kawi demo below.
