Bad Apples review

Bad apples is a new block drop matching game for the iPhone from Metaversal Studios where you drag and connect 3 fruits of the same color which turn to juice. You try and get your juice marker to fill up to the top to finish the given level. There are also what are know as “bad apples” which you have to avoid. These bad apples if accidentally matched will turn into bad juice which you don’t want to have too much of.

Throughout the game you’ll earn power-ups for clearing out more apples from the board. To move the apples, you just drag them on the board, or if you’d like to skip a turn just tap the top row to drop the new ones down. Also be careful, not to let any one of the columns fill up to the top. If this happens the entire column of apples goes bad and will cause your bad juice tank to fill up in no time.

The graphics in the game are hand drawn cartoonish characters and very colorful. There is a nice melodic background song while you play, along with catchy sound effects. Bad Apples is free, for now at least, and it was a joy to play, so be sure to grab it and try it out for yourself.
