The Impossible Test

The Impossible Test is every bit just as impossible as the name suggests. A little frustrating, this game requires practical logic mixed with bizarre logic, and some lucky guesswork.

This iPhone app was created by Pixel CUBE Studios and will also connect you to OpenFeint. By logging into OpenFeint, you can view leader boards, chat with friends, and challenge them too!

You’ve got eight lives and if you fail, you get an F- and have to start all over again. For a limited time, this app if free, but you have to purchase the answers for $.99 each, and you’ll want to purchase the answers. After you’ve figured out how to beat each test it gets pretty fun, you definitely have to think outside the box though. If you can’t figure out a test, don’t be discouraged, it’s probably just impossible. However, some of them only require a fast reaction time and accurate target practice.

The Impossible Test

I have to admit, I searched forums for some answers, wish I hadn’t though; after I read some hints I thought to myself how obvious the answer was. Do yourself a favor and spend time in the tests, figure them out for yourself and you’ll feel much better sleeping at night that an iPhone app didn’t get the best of you. Sadly, if it did, you’ll be reminded when you fail a test: “You couldn’t even beat the game? You can do better than that! YOU FAIL!”

There is background music you can turn on or off, and sound effects as well. There is also a stats page which lets you view each rank you’ve unlocked. Really, there isn’t much more to the game other than trying to solve each puzzle page by page, and Pixel CUBE did a good job developing a layout that makes this type of game engaging. My only hang up with The Impossible Test is after viewing some of the hints for a test, I realized there is absolutely no way I could have guessed how to do it. The developers may rely too heavily on their customers buying answers to complete the game. Luckily, you don’t need to pay for anything these days with the internet, just do a search and you’ll find some pretty helpful tips.
