This is an old web based search interface to IMDb for iPhone and iPod touch created a few years back that allows for searching everything by default or search by title, people, or characters all from the main page. Again, this is an unofficial webapp created by a third party developer and the form redirects to the full imdb.com website.
Update: Read about the newly released official IMDb iPhone app here and download it.

I’ve updated IMDb Mobile so now it loads some details about a movie or tv show in the application. You can see the cast, writers, directors and also media. Feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions or feature requests.

Great app, been waiting ages for this. Seems to crash Safari on the iPhone once you click a button though.
Posted on January 26th, 2008 at 2:20 pm by revsIn my tests it hasn’t been crashing but I’ll take a look and see if I can recreate the bug and try to get it fixed.

Posted on February 1st, 2008 at 3:17 pm by Tim GornyThis one is waaay better than the other one. The gamut one just takes what you search for and put it into the url. This one actually parses the data, not sure why people give higher stars to Gamut.
Nolan, I find it inconsistent at times in showing the rating.

I just got a 3GS yesterday. I searched for this app and it didn’t show up. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello my name is Daniel Steiny and I work in the Market Development Group at Motorola.
I was wondering if you have, or are planning on having an Android version of your IMDb Mobile application.
If so, I’d be interested in talking to you about a potential opportunity for that application with Motorola. Can you please provide the correct person to talk to and their contact information?
Thanks,
Dan
