Feeling creative in Canada? The new iPhone app from Canada Post is here and it not only tracks packages, but also lets you create your own personalized stamps from your own photos. Creating personalized stamps could be a great idea for sending out invitations or just to impress your clients, friend and family. The feature in the app is called Picture Postage. You use it by taking a picture with your iPhone or grab one from your camera roll.
Start by picking a photo from your library or take a new one using your iPhone. Then after you agree to the terms of service, you can design your stamp. Pick a frame from the 4 options including ribbon and album style stamps. Crop your pic to fit your frame on top of picture. Then you have to describe the picture in a free text field, and also state the relationship of the subjects in the picture. Finally confirm that you have the right and permission to use this image and add the Picture Postage to your cart, and add the billing information.
Pricing for Picture Postage are as follows:
Full Sheet of 40 stamps costs $44.75
Keepsake Sheet of 20 stamps is $27.95
Picture Postage stamps are real stamps and can be used to send cards and letters from anywhere in Canada. Unfortunately, if you live elsewhere, you can’t use these stamps. If you are in the US, the USPS has a website that shows a variety of alternative options from 3rd party sites like stamps.com and zazzle.com for creating customized photo stamps.
