iTransmogrify! is a bookmarklet for iPhone which transforms embedded Flash content into direct links to natively supported formats. That means YouTube videos and MP3s can now be played from the iPhone’s Safari web browser with just a few clicks.
It currently only works for content on YouTube.
Here is a video demo of iTransmogrify:
Drag this link to your bookmarks bar: iTransmogrify
To install the iTransmogrify bookmarklet, you drag a link above to your Safari or Firefox Bookmarks, IE users should right click and choose “Add To Favorites…”
After adding the link, sync your iPhone. For more information and to see the Bookmarklet’s JavaScript source visit the iTransmogrify page on Google Code
Update: The author has created this quick shortcut for iPhone users to add the bookmark.

Posted on January 15th, 2008 at 5:58 pm by Joe MallerI’m trying for two hours now, but I do not understand how to do this.
Is says: you drag a link to your Safari or Firefox Bookmarks…
But on an iPod touch I do not see how to drag this to the boogmarks.
And following this link (and hoping to bookmark it from there) also does not work.
I’m sure is must be easy, just do not see the answer.
Please help me with it,
Hans

Stupid people give stupid instruction on how to install this app!!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2008 at 12:37 pm by guessAny idea how to make this work on iphone 3g? (v2.0.1)
Posted on August 7th, 2008 at 6:54 am by amilI am thinking this doesn’t work on iphone 3g. Youtube vids play no matter where they are on this phone anyway. I installed it (correctly, I think) but still wasn’t able to watch videos on TED.com even though it seems to have added TED support. Would love to hear of anyway of watching flash on iPhone, naturally…or playing mp4s for that matter!
