this is not as good as what you get on the treo
id like a way to save my most frequent trip
for me its
PH to 24th current day current time with bikes
I have like 4 routes like that that I check all the time.
At least it would be good to be able to define them as bookmarks, but for that you’d need a way to say current time – as opposed to having the page generate the time.
Also the layout could be improved.
I think with the number of tech weenies in the SF Bay Area, it would be worth it to have an iPhone specific wireless UI. – Especially given that Apple is the home team!
Posted on August 15th, 2007 at 11:10 am by davidI agree! we really need an iPhone Bart app, badly. Any takers?
I wonder if BART provides an API for developers? I know google maps has bart information as well so that might be a way to go as well.
Posted on August 15th, 2007 at 11:45 am by Dinosyeah google is an option, but I’d really like to get something just for bart that is optimized…
I sent bart a comment.
My main thing is that I would like the have a few bart bookmarks that will show me current results from my stations. I dont want to have to enter the stations every time.
Posted on September 6th, 2007 at 5:53 pm by davidWhen I got my iPhone, one of the things I missed was the little Windows Mobile BART app. I don’t take BART regularly, but maybe once or twice a month so I don’t have the times memorized.
I ended up creating a iPhone BART web app. It basically provides the same info but in a more iPhone friendly layout.
You can also bookmark your trip reqwests. If you choose current time, your bookmark will will be the “current time” whenever you check.

Posted on February 11th, 2008 at 6:21 pm by TienshiaoBART put out a trip planner for Palm devices that I used and loved. I’m in the minority probably, but as an iPod Touch user I’d like to see a standalone BART application similar to the Palm app, as opposed to one that relies on a data connection. Better yet, a bay-area-wide transit trip-planning application.
