Posted on October 1st, 2008 at 7:40 pm by MaxThis web app is horrible. Everything else about Schwab is great but this… Please join the rest of us in 2009 Chuck!
Posted on September 28th, 2009 at 12:05 am by KHTerrible application.
Posted on November 26th, 2009 at 12:24 am by AlexHow is it that Schwab and Fidelity, two of the biggest discount brokerages, DON’T have an iPhone app when EVERYONE else does? Citi, Wells, BoA, Chase, ETrade, TD Ameritrade, ThinkorSwim.
Charles Schwab in particular offers banking services….. There is no way on the iPhone to track your accounts or credit card balances. Chuck, get your head out of your @$$ and develop a first rate app that let’s people do everything your website does! Now! It’s 2010 for God’s sake!!!!!
Posted on November 29th, 2009 at 10:56 am by CyrusG72Couldn’t have said it better myself Cyrus! I need bank account access not just brokerage account!!! It’s the ONLY reason I opened a BofA account, to view my account with the app! Ridiculous!
Posted on December 28th, 2009 at 2:26 am by CarlosI agree with CyrusG72. Schwab is great but their continued failure to bring us an iPhone app is a bit absurd. There are dozens of apps related to almost every topic: from finance to farting, yet an S&P 500 co. (and one of the best discount brokers in the US) cant get someone from IT to develop an app for their customers?
I also need banking info in addition to brokerage details. I’ve got my credit card, checking and brokerage with chuck.
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 12:58 pm by BearUse mint.com free iphone app to monitor/track your Schwab accounts until Schwab comes out with an app – it’s free and it’s awesome…you will love it
Posted on January 31st, 2010 at 3:34 pm by BillThanks Bill but I want a Schwab app… third party is good for some but not me. I think this is a matter of us contacting Schwab and letting them know there is a need for an app such as this.
Posted on January 31st, 2010 at 4:20 pm by KH@Bill: just tried Mint.com today, and they’re unable to connect to Schwab checking, savings, or credit card accounts. Only my Schwab One brokerage account works…so no Mint for me (which is unfortunate, ’cause it does look like a very useful service!)
Posted on February 5th, 2010 at 1:10 pm by BrandonThere’s this other app by Wikinvest i heard about yesterday that lets you track your Schwab portfolio on your iPhone. It also lets you sync with other portfolios so that’s pretty cool. I downloaded it, and it does a slightly better job than the Mint app.. I think you can manually enter your investments also..
Posted on August 30th, 2010 at 1:04 pm by RichardNow Fidelity has an app… Chuck you are all alone now. What is your plan? Do you have one? I sense perhaps some animosity between you and Steve? What else could it be?
I use Mint, but still I want more than just balances and transaction history. ETFC just turned the corner with a profit, buy them and you get a first rate app for the iPhone!
Posted on September 3rd, 2010 at 10:43 am by CyrusG72How about an app for the I pad for Charles Schwab
Posted on September 21st, 2010 at 5:20 pm by Jim WitherspoonIt’s here it’s finally here!!!! Go to the app store and download now!!!! Yes!
Posted on December 13th, 2010 at 9:26 pm by Kierre Hodgestried the new Schwab iphone app…how boring! Cannot compare to E*trade mobile pro; now E*trade has ipad app too
Posted on January 8th, 2011 at 4:04 pm by BillSorry Chuck, I was rooting for you but am going with E*trade; worth the extra $1 per trade commission for me
The interface design is OK but the home page is currently underutilized. General app usability could be improved by storing log in information and saving user sessions. Checking basic account information such as balances and history is fine. The stock quote pages are detailed and the charts are well designed. General market news and company specific articles are extensive. Trading stocks is mostly well done while we have a few gripes about trading options. The Schwab iPhone App version 1.0 is a decent initial effort but there is a lot of room for improvement.
