Daryl Cagle, in conjunction with MSNBC, has released an app for political cartoonist junkies everywhere. Featuring the best of both left and right, elephant and donkey, msnbc.com Cartoons is updated every so often with new strips and panels. The first tab gives you all the most recent cartoons, sorted by date. Tapping on the second tab, Cagle’s Cartoonists, will allow you to sort the cartoons by cartoonist. Once you pick a cartoon for viewing, you can post it up to share on your favorite social network, or save it to your iPhone’s camera roll. The comics are as clear as you can possibly get with an iPhone screen. Using this app is a very nice, light-handed way of keeping up with the world’s politics, even if it makes you want to bury your head in the sand sometimes. It’s both free entertainment and news in one, so try this app out, especially if you have random free moments in the day that are too short for a game.
Features:
– Thumbnail view to jump to hundreds of the newest cartoons
– Drag to see the next cartoon
– Pinch zoom in to see details
– Tilt the phone for landscape and portrait views
– Tap to see the Artist, Title, Date and Attribution
– Shake for a random cartoon
