Wordaisy review

Wordaisy is a word puzzle game for the iPhone that combines aspects of block dropping style games with word making. The game starts with blocks of letters dropping from the top that you use to create 4-7 letter words in a row on the bottom. You gotta watch out for both the clock as well as creating the longest possible word in each row. There is a lady bug that slowly climbs the side of the board, and if she gets to the top, you’re dead. Making words makes the lady bug go back. Finally you have a wild card shaped like a flower that you can use as any letter in the alphabet. It takes a few seconds for the wild card to charge after each use.

You can play Wordaisy in arcade mode or as a single game. In the arcade mode you can go through 30 levels, while in single mode you just play as long as you can without being eliminated as the words get harder. This is a pretty challenging game, because the letters are quite fast to drop. Each letter takes about 6 seconds or so to hit the bottom row. All this creates a very intense iPhone gaming experience, forcing you to think on your feet. The graphics in the game are sharp and colorful. There is no background music, but you do have simple fun sound effects.

Overall, Wordaisy is a tough word puzzle that requires fast paced processing and movements that will appeal more towards experienced iPhone gamers with a knack for words who are looking for a challenge.
