The Say What You See app is an iPhone puzzler that provides you with a large painting of a concert. If you enjoy puzzles, double-entendres, Where’s Waldo, and Pop music then Say What You See: Music Fest may just be one of the most addictive games you will ever play. It is brought to us by Big Ideas Corporation Ltd. and costs $0.99. You can use it on your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad and just a disclaimer: Play at your own risk because once you start you won’t be able to stop.
There are a ton of different shenanigans going on within the work of art that make absolutely no sense upon first glance. An Eskimo standing on a platform holding up a skull? An amalgamation of different style radios stacked together in a massive sculpture? The Virgin Mary in a sandbox? What can it all mean? It is a picture of a concert after all, so finding such bizarre and disparate parts coming together for the love of music is not really that odd, but the purpose of the game is that it is up to you to find the names of 50 different popular bands and artists in the various scenarios going on within this canvas.
It’s titled, “Say What You See,” because if you just read aloud what you are actually looking at, the band or artist’s name is sure to hit you. The radios were in the shape of a head…Radiohead. The Virgin Mary is obviously Madonna. Yes, I know I just gave away 2 answers, but that leaves you with 48 to figure out on your own! Once you think you have figured out the puzzle you tap on the picture and a text box appears for you to type in the answer. If you guess correctly then the specific image that you guessed fades out. By tilting your device you can keep track of your answers with a list of what you have done and what you have left to accomplish.
I love brainteasers that test your ability to think creatively, so I highly recommend this app. The examples I provided were some of the easiest ones I found. I’ve spent a lot of time playing with the Say What You See app, googling, asking friends to take a look, and I still have only guessed a handful correctly.
