Car Mania review

It’s rush hour and tempers are flaring as the city heads towards gridlock. Car Mania from Origin8 is a new traffic control type game for the iPhone similar to Flight Control, where you take control of the traffic and keep the cars from crashing into each other. Cars star heading down a set of roads and before you know it, it will be jammed. Your task is to steer the drivers to their destinations while avoiding road rage – or set up a spate of ‘accidents’ that’ll be sure to clear the streets.

There are 3 modes of play: Survival mode: How long can you keep traffic flowing in the city? Road Rage and Time Attack are initially locked and after you get some happy drivers they get unlocked. Music play lets you choose from your iPod songs, or enjoy the great background music that comes with the game itself. Tap on any car and drag its route through the city streets. You can tap a car to brake and have it stop, but don’t stay too long. If you do, you’ll start seeing curse words coming from that car and the rage meter will accumulate. If your rage meter get too high, its game over. Also if you have too many car crashes you die. During the game you can also press a button to increase or decrease the speed of all cars in play at any time. Car Mania is a great iPhone traffic control game with a few twists and turns and loads of tracks and levels.
