Slacker Radio review

Looking for a great way to listen to tons of streaming music on your iPhone? Slacker Radio is a streaming app that lets you browse and listen to unlimited free music on your iPhone. The free Slacker Radio App gives you access to the entire Slacker music library featuring millions of songs from thousands of artists. Listen to over 100 expert programmed radio stations or create your own custom stations directly on the iPhone.

While a song is being played Slacker Radio displays a large album art and if you tap the artist you can read album reviews and artist biographies for songs. The first time you fire up Slacker Radio it requires you to create an account that stores your personal preferences. Subsequent times, as soon as you start Slacker Radio it will start to play the last played station, making it really simple and radio like. You can also skip songs by swiping left. Slacker Radio is a great alternative to other larger iPhone radio players like last.fm and Pandora radio. Be sure to browse all iPhone radio apps under the radio category.

The catch: Every few minutes you will hear an audio ad which you are prompted to disable if you join the paid version of Slacker Radio, dubbed “Plus” which features, no audio or banner ads, unlimited song skips, and complete lyrics. Slacker Radio Plus is currently billed at $3.99 per month.
