Quote Portal review

If you’re in need of some inspiration or wisdom–or maybe just a couple chuckles–then Jedrzej Jakubowski’s Quote Portal is perfect for you. With 13 categories to choose from, there will definitely be a quote for nearly every occasion; they range from Wisdom to Travel to Art. Choose a category on the main menu, and then swipe your finger left and right to go through the quotes pertaining to that category (or just tap the arrows down at the bottom). All the categories will be in a Categories Panel up on top, which you can hide by swiping down; swiping up will reveal them again, and to go through through them. If you find a quote you fancy, you can put it on your Favorites list by tapping the heart button on the bottom left. You can also copy the quote to email or post on Facebook/Twitter.

One of the great things about Quote Portal is that all the quotes are stored right in the app, so no Internet connection is needed to peruse. Another is the fantastic amount of design that went into creating this iPhone app. Its sophisticated graphics and interface (not to mention easy navigation) make it a joy to browse; the developers should get a pat on their backs for creating such a gorgeous app. Even the subtle sound effects connote quality. It can’t have been easy to collect all these quotes, and then to sort and input them…golf claps all around for a bloody good show, chaps. Quote Portal developed by Decluttered Mind is a steal for $0.99 in the App Store.
