Pizza Hut review

Do you love Pizza Pasta and Hot Wings? Pizza Hut is now in the App Store with a tasty iPhone app that lets you customize and order pizza, pasta and buffalo wings using some of the functionality of the iPhone. For example to order a smaller pizza, just pinch the pizza on your iPhone and squeeze. Scroll through a stripe of toppings, sort of like Cover Flow, and drag them onto your pizza. Want toppings only one one side? Just tilt your iPhone to get any topping on only half of your pizza. Another neat feature is the way you pick the sauce for your hot wings and toss them by shaking the iPhone. To top things off, there is even a little car driving game built in to keep you busy while your wait for the delivery guy to show up at your door.

One last selling point: Coupons! With the built in coupons in the Pizza Hut iPhone app, you can forget about sticking those wrinkled up greasy coupons to your refrigerator. Pinch to zoom in and out to view various deals then click on a coupon to place an order using that deal.

The Pizza Hut iPhone app is truly innovative and well designed, and actually goes to add value to the customer’s relationship with them. How important is having a friendly and effective presence in the App Store for big corporations? If this app is any sort of success for Pizza Hut, we are sure to see other big companies like Domino’s and Papa John’s get involved, who now have a lot to live up to.
