Jaadu Remote Desktop review

How would you like to access your Windows PC right from your iPhone or iPod touch? The Jaadu Remote Desktop app is a Remote Desktop Protocol client for iPhone and iPod Touch that lets you easily use your Windows PC from anywhere in the world.

Important: Remote Desktop requires XP Professional, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.

The connection to your PC is secure and encrypted for your safety. You can do pretty much anything on your iPhone as if you were at your PC. Jaadu is essentially a touchpad / trackpad control interface over the entire screen of the iPhone / iPod touch device. You use your home internet connection to download stuff to your PC without using much bandwidth on your iPhone. The only issue you might have is when you watch movies, which might show choppy video.

Jaadu RDP also comes with
Mouse support: left click, right click, double click, drag-drop and scroll wheel.
Keyboard: modifier Ctrl, Alt, Tab, Win, cursor, short cut keys, CTRL+ALT+DEL and much more.
Smart gestures: 3-tap quick zoom in/out, 2-finger vertical scroll, 2-finger horizontal swipe for task switching.

One of the downfalls of RDP in general is that Microsoft’s current Remote Desktop implementation locks your PC’s monitor when you are logged in using Jaadu RDP. This means if you log into your computer from your iPhone, you can’t be logged into your computer at the same time. If you want to be able to do both, buy the Jaadu VNC app instead. Jaadu RDP is built on the award winning user interface used by Jaadu VNC.
