Eliminate Pro review

Eliminate Pro from ngmoco is a 3D online multiplayer first person shooter game for the iPhone that lets you combat real players from around the world as your explore various arenas. Good performance earns you credits you can use to buy rig upgrades and improve your weapons. Credits can be used to buy weapons, armor, and upgradable gear characteristics. You can also buy upgrades via in app purchases. To play you need to be online with WiFi or 3G. Use push notifications to send your friends challenges to join you in a live game.

The gameplay is fast and uses 2 virutual pads on the iPhone screen. Use the left pad to move back froward. Use the right pad to look up and down and shoot your guns. Use jet packs, berserker shields, cloaking devices and a variety of cunning power-ups. Using the virtual pads in Eliminate Pro does not feel natural, and even awkward at times, on the iPhone and can take a long time to get used to, if you’re coming from the PC gaming world.

The game is free but playing it all the way with the in app purchases can start to get costly. Eliminate Pro is a unique FPS game and a first of its kind for the iPhone. Try it out for yourself on your iPhone or iPod touch.
