2360: Battle for Cydonia is Brisk Mobile’s line top-down drawing sci-fi shooter game with one of the most innovative control systems featuring 21 levels of pulse-pounding, finger shaking action. The year is 2360, and you are on planet Mars, fighting for the right to colonize the red planet. You are the pilot of the Datalus-5, a robocop like weapon that you maneuver by drawing lines on the iPhone screen.
As with any line drawing game, in Battle for Cydonia you draw a path for your robot. Touch enemy fighters to place a red target over them and have your fighter blast them away using a rotating dual laser shooter mounted on top of Datalus-5. You can even drag your finger across the screen to lay down a sheet of covering fire.
The sound effects in Battle for Cydonia are amazing, including machine gun like artillery, firy blasts, coupled with a hard pounding guitar rock soundtrack that enhances the action. The controls are really simple to learn including path drawing and target placements, and get the action gets really interesting and addictive as you try to do both things at once using the rotating guns. The visual effects and graphics are small and fit the iPhone screen quite nicely with detailed maps, realistic physics and continuously moving camera angles. Overall Battle for Cydonia is a high quality effort from Brisk Mobile and definitely worth a look for fans of non-stop Shoot ’em up type games on the iPhone.
