For those who enjoy brain teasers or other mental challenges, the majority of games played on the iPad, iPod touch, or other mobile devices may often seem unappealing. Fortunately, although most games may revolve around slaying enemies and defeating foes, one application that is excellent for fans of brain teasers is Stupidness 3.

The app Stupidness 3 by Orange Nose Studio has little plot and instead consists of hundreds of challenges that require players to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to bizarre problems. The goal of the app is to complete difficult puzzles while obtaining as many “IQ Points” as possible. Those who score the most IQ Points become featured on the Leaderboard and highlighted to other users. The longer it takes players to complete the challenges, the more their IQ points will drop. Additionally, players can request hints on challenges that they are unable to figure out on their own, but continuously asking for hints will drop player IQ dramatically.

For the vast majority of gamers, Stupidness 3 will be frustrating and will provide little fun. Most players prefer more fast-paced, action-packed games and will find Stupidness 3 to be dull and unexciting. One of the biggest flaws of the app is that the challenges can often be very bizarre and the solution is not something that any normal person would think of, making it difficult to complete successfully even for those who have a high IQ in the real world. Although the game will not appeal to the majority of gamers, however, those who truly do enjoy brain teasers and favor this particular genre will likely find Stupidness 3 to be very captivating and intriguing, as the game truly takes brain teasers to the next level.

One particularly favorable aspect of Stupidness 3 is that the application takes advantage of the many functions that are unique to the iPhone or iPad and thus adds an entirely new element to brain teasers. For example, many challenges require users to shake the phone in a certain direction or move their hands correctly across the screen to solve a puzzle, both of which would be impossible on traditional gaming consoles.
