The Rue La La – Shop All Day iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app makes bargain shopping a breeze with intuitive interface and a streamlined check-out process. You can purchase from flash sales of designer, high-end, and department store quality clothes, shoes, jewelry, and accessories for men, women, and children, as well as fantastic housewares for every room in your house.
The Rue La La iPad app opens with a graphically interesting, vibrant scene, as the content loads. During the holidays, there was a shot of a great snow-kissed row of European boutiques. You simply create an account with a couple of steps, but remember your Rue La La iPad app password. You will need it like your Apple ID password to make purchases.
You can scroll through sales neatly organized in a matrix grid in portrait or landscape view. I would recommend the landscape view with the Rue La La iPad app. When you have that extra bit of screen, you have to scroll less through the content. Each sale is categorized smartly–sometimes by brand, groups of like items, and always includes one exclusive offer called today’s fix. You touch the sale, and a new screen opens with the sale items. On some occasions, there is a second group of categories, so it may require two touches on the screen to get to the items for sale. You can sort and filter the options by touching the icon in the bottom center of the screen. You can narrow by category, sizes, and colors. When you touch the icon, the filtering options slide back off the bottom of the screen and the filtered items now fill the screen. My one recommendation with the filter options is to allow for multiple taps on sizes and colors. Many of the clothing items have both US and European sizes, or you may want to search for medium and 8. So, it would be great to roll through and tap all that apply.
When you select an item, a photo fills the left side of the screen with detailed product information on the right. You can share the item with Twitter, Facebook, email, and SMS text message. There is a horizontal row of boxes with sizes, and the available ones are black. You touch your size, then hit the add to bag icon just below the list. All of the product details including return policy are listed in bullet points. Some items may be returned with certain caveats, or there are final sale items. A helpful addition is the size chart that can be accessed on the right side of the screen.
The interface for the check out process is fantastic. Your shopping bag can be accessed by touching the bag icon in the top right corner of the screen and is always available. The shopping bag slides from the right side of the screen. The items you have selected are listed in a column on the left side of the shopping bag pop-out. Your shipping, billing, and payment information are organized in a list on the right side. The place order icon is at the bottom of the shopping bag. For each time you touch the shipping, billing, payment, and place order icons, you must put in your Rue La La iPad app password. If you take the time to establish your preferred settings, then you just have touch the place order icon and enter your password to complete the transaction. The payment interface makes for a quick, seamless process. Frequently, the payment interface can become a bit laborious, confusing, and time consuming with shopping iOS apps, and Rue La La’s iPad app is not.
For Rue La La, you pay $9.95 and receive free shipping for one month. The Rue La La iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app is free. The deals are amazing, and shopping from your iPad is fun with Rue La La.
