Justin.tv

Justin.TV is a social networking app. that allows you to watch live video from all over the world, chat with people, and make your own videos. It seems that people make videos for all different reasons- whether it’s to vlog to their friends, endorse a product, or to give visibility to a cause they are passionate about. Or, of course, the most common one that I saw- girls in need of attention (check out “Miss.Mariana.Lee”- she was a popular one). There are also actual channels to watch like pokerstarstv, mudtrucktv, etc. I also noticed a large number of live feed channels- the Justin.tv office for one, but also a live feed of a ferret nesting, of the African wilderness, and of a random 40-something single male called franktaylorslifecast. With such variety, there will probably always be something on Justin.tv that you’ll want to watch.

The app. itself has 5 different sections- Featured, Favorites, Search, About, and More. The Featured section is where I found all of the above named videos/channels. The Favorites section is to keep track of your fav channels, the Search section is to find something specific you’re looking for, the About section gives a quick blurb on Justin.tv’s concept, and the More section allows you to sign in/out of Justin.tv, allows you to change the language that your channels appear in, has a link to the Justin.tv blog and also to its Twitter page.

Yet nowhere is there a channel guide or list of channel selections! So the only way to find anything is to see it on your Featured page or search for something specific and hope you can find it. Also, the featured page is limited- after I pressed “Show More” at the bottom of the screen 4 or 5 times, the option to show more was gone. Does that there are only that many videos streaming at that time? Or that I can only see a certain number of them? Or are the “featured” videos capped off at some point? In general, I just don’t understand the way that the whole app. is organized. I feel like I would definitely use it more if I could easily find and access the type(s) of material that I’m interested in through a category and/or channel guide page.

This app. is FREE, though- and it allows you to get a glimpse into the weird lives and interests of other people while you’re on the go. If you enjoy judging people and expressing your judgment in a chat setting, you will love Justin.tv. Happy watching! Say hi to Miss.Mariana.Lee for me.

4 Comments to “Justin.tv”

  1. JTV is a total pedo playground. Go into any random channel featuring a kid on the site and you’ll find hundreds of pedophiles asking the kid to “show boobs”, “open feet”, “take off clothes”, “what color are your panties”, etc. Please do not support anything that Justin tv does, as the staff not only condone, but seem to enable this type of behavior as pervs and pedos are rarely banned from the site.

  2. Apparently this reviewer was in need of some attention as well- possibly someone at the JTV offices? Justin.tv is a joke of a website, a haven for pedophiles, perverts and the odd substance abuser. Your head must be full of tapioca to support this site, simple as that.

  3. Justin.tv is just a website for pedophiles pervert and racists. The admins do absolutely nothing to ban these people. If you complain about these people or report, jtv will ban you instead. There are tons of video clips with porn and guys jerking the meat and they don’t get deleted if you report, instead the admins have puppies that tell them. Ignoring the regular people that complain. There is even video of parents washing their babies and children in bathtubs and sinks naked. Who takes video of their naked kids and posts them on a site like Justin.tv? and the admins don’t see this? The problem with justin.tv is the admins and staff DO NOT monitor the social directory on a 24/7 basis. So everything goes and it’s recorded for days, weeks and months until they are notified. Seriously, justin.tv is not a site for kids. It looks like they cater to pedos.

  4. The TOS is a joke

    Terms of Service
    1. Eligibility.
The Justin.tv Service is not available to persons under the age of 13 or to any users previously suspended or removed from the Justin.tv Service by Justin.tv.

Wrong. Violators return dozens of time and broadcast for hours and days on the front page of the social page before the admins or staff ban them. Everyone knows it except for justin.tv. And there are tons of underage kids that broadcast without getting banned.
