nin: access is here! From the musical genius of Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor, this is the official NIN iPhone app which gives you access to multimedia and community features of nin.com as well as a new way to exchange real time messages and photos with other NIN fans in your area. Access NIN news, photos, custom wallpapers, and your nin.com inbox and private messages. Listen to a variety of Nine Inch Nails music including exclusive playlists and thousands of fan created remixes.

About the NIN access website: Using the Google Earth plugin, each point on the map represents a message sent from that location. click a point to view its associated message. to view more points, zoom in to a specific area. this map is for viewing only, messages can only be posted using the nin:access iPhone app.

All this combined set the stage for being able to chat with local fans, view conversations and photos live from local shows, and gives you the ability to post location aware messages to the community. Much like Twitter is for day to day updates, NIN access combines all things NIN under one living, evolving mass generated portal pushing and pulling from the iPhone, iPod touch and also the classic web based audience.

If you are worried about stalkers, the app has a fuzzy location option which averages your location within 1 mile.
