Run Teddy Run review

If you’re a fan of Gloomy Bear and other such gory cuteness, you’d probably be pretty amused by Neat Services free iPhone app, !Run Teddy Run! Apparently, mayhem has hit Teddy Valley and you must help Teddy through an obstacle course of his fallen comrade teddies.

Teddy starts walking from left to right. There are only two ways to move around objects: tap to jump or slide to your finger down to slide (home plate style) underneath objects strung from the top of the screen. There are glowing objects that can make Teddy invincible for a short amount of time, or can enable flight by jet pack. However, hitting a wormhole will speed time up and make your journey more difficult.

Run Teddy Run is highly simplistic in both design and execution. The graphics are childish (to highlight the violence, perhaps), and the objective is straightforward. Yet the timing of this game is tricky to grasp, which is further exacerbated by high latency problems: sometimes Teddy just doesn’t do what you tell him to. As an aside, having the girl appear each and every time you restart a level is somewhat annoying. Try this game app if you want a short distraction; however, if you are particularly attached to teddy bears and can’t stand to see them mutilated in any way, this is probably not the game for you as the game contains decapitated teddies.
