GTD + RPG! Are distractions are killing your productivity? Are you living in a virtual world and missing out on the real world? EPICWIN is a hybrid streamlined RPG iPhone game that incorporates a to-do list. What?! Here’s how it works. You get rewarded in the game for completing your real-world tasks, with XP, loot and levelling-up. The developers argue that “by getting points for your chores it’s easier to actually get things done.”

EPICWIN uses the problem as the solution. By adding adventure to your to do lists, EPICWIN aims to motivate you to be productive. By making your chores a multiplayer-game, you might be willing to get them done. To win the game, you have to fulfill your daily errands or “quests” in the real world. Completing tasks improves and develops your character in an onging quest to level-up, gain riches, and develop skills. Build up your avatars in the virtual EPICWIN world using your own life.

Each task completed is destroyed by your avatar. For example, you get your Undead Warrior to beat-up your laundry, or your Treeman to headbutt your overspilling inbox. You get 3 animated avatars with the app, though you have to buy more if you want.

So if you’re up for new experimental stuff, try out the EpicWin app and see if role-playing can spring your dusty todo list into productivity.
