Got an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS? Try the new live poker game called Showdown Poker where you can play with a friend using the built-in Bluetooth connection of your iPhone. The great thing about this is you don’t need to have an internet connection. Just have to be in close proximity of a friend who has the same app and has an iPhone 3G or 3GS.
Showdown Poker supports two players with two modes: Hotseat and Head-To-Head. In Hotseat mode both players can pass a single iPhone or iPod touch back and forth to play, while in Head-to-Head mode you play 2 Player poker over the Bluetooth connection. The Showdown Poker iPhone app uses the Z2 Live multiplayer framework to achieve the head-to-head gameplay.

Showdown poker looks pretty good but I wonder how these play money poker apps will do not that there is finally a real money iPad poker room? Sounds pretty good according to this? Those iPad HD apps are pretty good but the major drawback is that you can’t play real money poker with them. Seems that’s all about to change with the lauch of the first iPad Cash Money Poker Room. Sounds really good according to this – I’ve had an iPad now for 6 months and it’s been pretty frustrating that I couldn’t play real money poker.
