The Showyou iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad has a lengthy sign-in process, as you authorize both Facebook and Twitter and explore curated content providers to enhance your feed. When you authorize Facebook, it imports the videos your friends share on Facebook. You get to decide, if you want to upload your existing videos to the Showyou iPhone app with a simple touch on the screen. You can also choose whether or not you want Showyou to post the videos you watch on your Facebook timeline, a helpful feature that may eliminate those embarrassing Socialcam Bouncing Body Parts posts from cluttering your feeds. The Showyou iPhone app doesn’t have a particularly revolutionary interface, but it has carefully selected the best tools and functions from Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest. One-touch navigation on icons in a bottom menu bar allow you to efficiently explore the fantastic content. The list icon contains your friends to check out a specific feed in one-touch. The interesting element to the list icon is the different categories like Nature & Science, Music, News, Sports, and More. For each category, there are interesting, exciting selections like Skatevideos, Huffington Post, TED, Rolling Stone, and Al Jazeera English. The search icon opens up a list of trending topics. The flag icon allows you to find friends. The happy face emoticon is your profile.

For each video, there is a striking photo with the person who posted the video, when posted, sharing options, and engagement opportunities. You “thank” a friend or content provider for the quality of content, instead of offering a mere like. You can send the video by email with one touch. You can also share the video to your Showyou feed with functionality reminiscent of Twitter retweets. If you want to share the video to your Twitter feed and Facebook timeline, you can with a touch on the appropriate icon. When you share a video, your name is added to the list like Tumblr. You can also post a comment, as well as send a note to the person who posts the content. Perhaps the coolest feature is the ability to add a video to a list to watch at a later date. You can access saved videos by checking out your profile. The videos load quickly, and the quality is excellent.

The Facebook Camera iPhone app tried to create a go-to location for photos, but it fell short in its stale presentation. The Showyou iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app is based on a similar premise, but it is completely successful by centralizing your social networks’ videos and expanding the scope of what you watch online beautifully.
