The weather is fickle, inconstant variable of our lives, yet it can affect the way we dress, our daily plans, even how we feel. Checking the forecast daily is automatic for many, as weekly forecasts can be completely wrong the following week. If you’re ready to be a little more creative with those daily and weekly inquiries, then you might want to take a gander at Tiny Mammal’s new app, Weather Doodle.
Weather Doodle can, like most weather apps, tell you the temperature of your current location (or a weather station close to you). To add a location, tap the info button to open up the Settings menu. Here, you can adjust temperature scale (Fahrenheit or Celsius) and metric unit (mile and kilometer) as well. You can also change the art theme, or purchase a new theme in-app. Currently there is one default theme and one theme for sale, but more themes are promised for future updates. You can presumably add as many locations as you want, just swipe back and forth to access each location’s information.
As you’re viewing this information, you can see more detailed data about each location by toggling the first button on the taskbar at the bottom. The default view for each location is the Current condition, but you can switch to a five-day forecast that gives you each day’s high, low, and the overall condition of the day. The app’s pièce de résistance, however is in the animated art themes.
Each condition–from sunny to rainy–has a realistic animation that goes along with the weather, and the sun and moon icons transform to reflect real-time changes. For instance, as the day grows long, the sun icon begins to dip into the horizon; the moon icon waxes and wanes along with the actual satellite. The Paperscape is both soothing and whimsical, while the Printmaker theme is charming. Weather Doodle itself is only $0.99–a fine price for a bit of art–but you’d have to be willing to pay for each new theme you want to acquire. Simple and beautiful, Weather Doodle is a highly polished app that, although small, can go a long way to brightening your day.

Kind of corny and not worth the money as you only get one theme…….. other themes available only 1 you must pay for.
