Zombie Bikini Babes from Outer Space review

Attack Of The Zombie Bikini Babes From Outer Space. Yes that’s an iPhone app and as the long and descriptive name implies you are under attack by hot zombie babes in bikinis. This is one of those gotta see it for yourself category apps that has everything perfect to a T, including soundtrack, sound effects, original gameplay, amazing graphics and intuitive controls. Starring Marina Orlova of HotForWords, the game uses the retro stop motion style graphics of bloodied zombie chicks that are dropped off from a cartoon like UFO and attack you running down a grass field. You have 2 giant slingshots on either side of the iPhone that you use to maim, dismember, gash and destroy those space zombie babes. Each zombie takes about 4 hits to kill. If you don’t kill them, they will start clawing and ripping you apart. As the intro says “They’re scantily clad and they eat brains!” The game is rated 17+ for mature content as it pushes the threshold of the rating system in many ways.

The controls are fun and actually quite accurate. Using the slingshots you can shoot your target by pulling the rubber band to either left or right to aim your throw. Once you get past the first couple of levels, there is a cool weapon you get called Zombie Dance, which shows up in the menu. When you have a few zombie babes in sight, activate this and watch the zombies dance to an upbeat surf guitar track, giving you time to kill as many as you can while they do their thing. We love this part. Beyond funny, and so very entertaining. Other weapons you can use are critter shots (rakoons that you can throw) and bomb shots, that are whiskey bottles filled with gasoline designed to blow up those crazy zombie babes.

The music in the game is a heavy metal inspired guitar track (hints of Rob Zombie influence) and at times resembling of Tarantino flicks like From Dusk til Dawn. The overall gameplay and feel of the game reminds us of old B rated horror flicks mixed with cartoons. The timing couldn’t be better with Halloween season in full effect. Congrats to Smort for a killer job on their first iPhone game.
