iDemocracy

iDemocracy is the first mostly-automated jailbreak and third-party app installer for Apple’s iPhone 1.1.1. Currently it is only developed for the Windows platform (if you’re on a Mac, take a look at iNdependence).

A couple weeks ago, the iPhone Dev Team released a method for “jailbreaking”, or unlocking the iPhone 1.1.1 requiring nearly seventy steps. iDemocracy automates most of the process of “jailbreaking” and installing third party iPhone apps even on phones running Apple’s latest firmware.

This software works on virgin iPhones only. Please revirginize your iPhone and do a factory-reset before you use iDemocracy. iDemocracy will also guide you through every step of that as well. You will need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to run it.

iDemocracy is open source and written in Visual C# and is DEFINITELY not Apple certified.

Use iPhone mods and hacks at your own risk! Installing 3rd Party iPhone apps requires you to jailbreak the iPhone before installing the native software and apps. If you have not updated your iPhone to 1.1.1 yet, you can use Installer.app for Mac OSX and iBrickr for Windows PC to do this instead of iDemocracy.
