Navigation for Europe - iGO My way 2010

Navigation for Europe-iGO My Way is a navigational app that ensures you make the right traveling decisions on your trek through Europe. The app was released by NNG Global Services for an iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad and costs $89.99.

Whenever I have visited a different country one thing that has always come to mind is how people manage to rent a car and drive during their visit. From the reckless driving and manual transmissions to the sheer loss in ability to navigate I never felt as though it would be appealing to rent a car instead of taking public transit.

In a lot of European cities the streets are laid out in the shape of a wheel, which makes getting around without a map nearly impossible. iGO is a user-friendly solution to the issue of getting completely lost in unfamiliar territory. An important consideration is that the maps are integrated into the app so you do not need to rack up extraordinary roaming coverage charges to use them. iGO functions as a basic GPS system. You input where you want to go and you get a route mapped out for you with distance and estimated arrival time. You get a choice of routes to choose from including fast, short, economical, and easy-to-follow; you simply flip through each route and choose the one best suited for your journey.

You can use iGO in 40 European countries. Most people who visit foreign countries are not familiar or concerned with the speeding regulations that must be followed when out on the road, so iGO has included a speed warning as part of the navigation package. Another perk when using iGO is that approaching landmarks are shown in 3-D so that you can see and recognize what is around you as you whiz by.

To call this app elite would be an understatement. Not only is it a little pricey but it also fulfills a need for something that most of us do not get to experience: Exploring the wonders of the Europe. iGO is the perfect way to navigate through Europe without a hitch.
