Mobilecast (native)

Since the iTunes app does not currently support downloading podcasts. Enter Mobilecast, is a native 3rd party app that allows you to download and listen to your podcast via Wi-Fi or Edge on the iPhone. The current version of Mobilecast is available from Installer.app in the Multimedia category. The version of Mobilecast available via Installer.app downloads and plays both audio and video podcasts. The Mobilecast app is developed by Matthew Smith. In the current version (2.2.1) you have to enter your podcast feed URLs either by hand or you can point to an OPML file, but there is no default presets at this time. After you add the feed, you see the list of files you can download. Tap any file to start downloading it. You see a nice green progress bar.

Use iPhone mods and hacks at your own risk! Installing 3rd Party iPhone apps requires you to jailbreak the iPhone before installing the native software and apps.
